for the edge that shows, didn't clean up other than a wire brush. Great grain exposure

once I cut out for the shelf, revealed a lot of termite damage so reverted to grampa Mckeehans Durham Rock Hard....

so i did have a pic of the added poles. Just basic black iron stuff from the Micro Depot. The do nothing structurally in fact they still are not attached to the cabinet....

Wow you use Campbell soup as a spice Looks good and Handy for sure won't be in the way because you always land up putting it on the counter next to the stove and then proceed to knock it over! I just realized what back splash you have I need to go find some pictures to post
