Kookaburra are the noisiest pain in the arse birds on the planet. But I love our Kotare or Sacred Kingfisher, even if they do kill my goldfish and dive bomb the cat.  |

Is that bird a Belted King Fisher relative? That bird is an Eurasian Common Kingfisher and it is next to impossible to tell the sexes apart. The North American Belted Kingfisher which most of us are more familiar with is one of the few birds where the female is more colorful. |

grey, drizzly or worse 35" of ran a year spread over a couple hundred days, occasional freezing and frosts. Followed by more of the same. Occasional wind storms in the 25 to 45mph range.
Occasional beautiful sunrises and sunsets during high pressure periods.
By February the days are getting longer, daylight when I leave work at 5:00

We've had a couple mild ones i think coolest thus far is 19F. We average mid 40s.i think we get a bit more than 35 inches year. Rarely snow that is meaningful.
